We have recently rediscovered the joy of reading a ton of books a day. My kids have always loved books. Abigail has been reading them in my lap since she was born. Literally. And she always has enjoyed it. DOesnt really matter what book. Well, Seth being the bruiser boy that he is has taken a little longer to warm up to it. But 2 is his year of reading. He loves to sit/snuggle on the couch and read a book with Mommy and Sister. I ordered some Psalty books on line a couple of weeks ago to add to the collection of things we re-read till my eyeballs want to pop out of my head of their own accord, and Abigail is really into it. They are a bit longer and have a lot of words as well as a spiritual lesson, so they take quite a while to get through. So we read the book Seth picked out and then the Psalty book that ABigail picked out and we usually lose cowboy halfway through the Psalty book. Which I can totally understand. I mean, he IS 2 after all. So, imagine my surprise when, after reading to them one morning and then going on with my morning tasks, I turn around to find this sight. He had cozied up to the Psalty book and was reading it to himself on the couch. So cute to see him "carefully" turning those pages with his pudgy, probably slightly dirty fingers and enjoying himself immensely. Gotta love a boy that loves him some books!
