Please be kind to my pathetic attempt at Lightning McQueen as a cake. So glad Seth is only 3 and quite forgiving. A red thing with wheels is Lightning to him, so I got off the hook with that one. He turned out pink at first, but thats a whole story in and of itself....
Abigail loved her cake and helped me to make the strawberry and marshmallow kabobs that were just in front of her cake. Those were gone in no time, and Seth himself managed to eat FOUR bags of Cars fruit snacks. There was much sugar hyperness in my house on Sunday. And we had a "berry patch" set up with strawberry shaped plastic containers (like easter eggs but strawberries) and they were filled with skittles. We determined that Seth is not much for cake or ice cream (we've known that for a while now) but Skittles are a weakness for him. 
We played pin the car on the race track. Christian had more fun than the kids I think. He spun them after putting on their blindfold 1 time for each year old that they were. This poor little 7 year old girl almost ate it on the short jaunt to the track! But thankfully most of the kids were like the one in the picture below and could find their way without staggering too much. :)
Then it came time for lighting the candles (be kind to the homemade strawberry shortcake dress. I made it very late at night and couldnt try it on her until right before the party. at least her Chrissa doll has a matching one too)
Doesnt Seth look so serious? He blew his candle out way before his sister did. He was in the zone.
We finished the day by going out to dinner and wading through the mess to put the kids down and then watch Dr. Quinn and relax. Right in the middle of all of the decorations and party debris. It was a blast!

Love her dress! And everything else. You always were able to pull of lots of fun and tasty snacks at the gatherings we had in your home. I miss those days:(
