Christmas Morning!

What a day! Even though we were apart from our family, it was a special day. We gave the kids hot chocolate while we read the Christmas story from the Bible (a bribe to help them sit still...seth got his own miniature coffee mug and spilled most of it on himself but he was SO proud of himself for getting in on the fun.) and then we "gave" Jesus a present...we have a box that we write something that we want to give Jesus this year. Abby chose to give Jesus her "song, so she can praise the Lord." How cute. Then came the presents. That took a while, because we wanted to do them one at a time and remind the kids who gave them each present, but it was so much fun. Abigail actually twirled and nearly did a back flip in her excitement over her new "house" from Papa and Uncle Dylan. And each gift we got from our family and friends was so thoughtful I seriously almost cried a few times. Then we had our annual Christmas morning breakfast...pancakes (multigrain/flax) and bacon and sausage (turkey) and bagels and cream cheese and juice and coffee and tons of happiness. What a fun day!
