We went to the lake yesterday with the college group and had such a blast regardless of the heat. We only lasted 2 hours, but it was so much fun. During his prayers last night, Seth thanked God, "..for wake! and swimmin'!!!!" It was pretty cute. The kids love our friends from the college group and they had so much fun, in the water swimming, on the towels eating snacks, lounging in a tube, but the most exciting part of the day came when Aryn took Abigail for a ride in the kayak. She strapped on her life jacket and hopped right in. It was so great! Until she started to paddle away. Then I started to have a moment of panic. My little girl was out there on the water without me!!! Not that she was all alone, but I don't think I am ready for her to have such independence from mommy, ya know? She stayed out there for half an hour and had so much fun!!!
Seth got to get in and give it a try too. He was sitting in Aryn's lap and said, "My go on boat." in a very proud sort of way. He quickly followed it up with a VERY nervous sounding, "My go OFF boat now!" My silly little boy still needs me! YES!!
